Jai Chandnani, MPS-IS
Jai Chandnani is the Inaugural AI Engineer Fellow at the Cornell AI Innovation Hub.
He holds a Master’s degree in Information Science from Cornell University and completed two AI-based capstone projects, working alongside Google. He developed a Python evaluation framework using Vertex AI APIs to benchmark Gemini models across tasks such as question answering and summarization, applying LLM-as-a-judge methods and statistical validation. He also co-led UX/UI research for an AI-powered sales and customer success platform, conducting market analysis, usability testing, and focus groups to inform product recommendations for Google Cloud’s global sales organization.
He previously served as a Research Assistant to the American Economic Association (AEA) Data Editor at the Labor Dynamics Institute Replication Lab, verifying computational reproducibility by running R and Julia workflows in Docker containers on high-performance computing systems.
